Ingredients

For 4 servings

  • 1 lb Rice cakes (tteok)
  • 4 pieces Fish cakes
  • 3 tbsp Gochujang
  • 1 tbsp Gochugaru
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 cups Anchovy/kelp stock
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2 stalks Green onions
  • 2 pieces Hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds

Instructions

Soak rice cakes in warm water for 15 minutes if frozen.

Mix gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, sugar, and garlic in a bowl.

Bring stock to boil in a wide pan.

Add sauce mixture and stir to dissolve.

Add rice cakes and cook, stirring frequently, for 8-10 minutes.

Add fish cakes and cook another 3 minutes.

Sauce should be thick and coating the rice cakes.

Top with eggs, green onions, and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
