Slice meat thinly if using. Cube tofu.
Sauté meat in sesame oil until browned. Add kimchi and cook 5 minutes.
Add garlic, gochugaru, and kimchi juice. Stir well.
Pour in stock and bring to boil.
Add onion and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add tofu and sugar. Simmer another 5 minutes.
Top with green onions and serve bubbling hot with rice.
