Ingredients

For 4 servings

  • 2 cups Aged kimchi
  • 1 block Firm tofu
  • 1/2 lb Beef or pork (optional)

    Use halal-certified meat

  • 1 medium Onion
  • 3 stalks Green onions
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Gochugaru (red pepper flakes)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 3 cups Anchovy/kelp stock
  • 1 tsp Sugar

Instructions

Chop kimchi into bite-sized pieces. Reserve kimchi juice.

Slice meat thinly if using. Cube tofu.

Sauté meat in sesame oil until browned. Add kimchi and cook 5 minutes.

Add garlic, gochugaru, and kimchi juice. Stir well.

Pour in stock and bring to boil.

Add onion and simmer for 15 minutes.

Add tofu and sugar. Simmer another 5 minutes.
