For 4 servings
Use halal-certified beef
Peel and cube potatoes into 1-inch pieces. Set aside.
Heat oil and fry onions until golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and fry for 2 minutes.
Add ground beef and cook on high heat, breaking up lumps, until browned.
Add all spices except garam masala. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften completely.
Add potatoes and 1/2 cup water. Cover and cook for 20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
Sprinkle garam masala and cilantro. Serve with paratha or rice.
Tip: For drier keema, cook uncovered for last 5 minutes.
